The Trumpet

A sharp sound splits the wind and pierces the ear piece

The alarm alerts souls to the solemn assembly

Accentuating the importance of this eternal ordinance

How dreadful the ram’s horn that ushers the Warlord

“God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.”

A sound joyful, triumphant, yet likened to thunder

“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:

let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh,

for [it is] nigh at hand”

All praise to the Blower that goes with the whirlwind

who shall blow His horn with a sound that is certain

who speaks with a great voice like that of a trumpet
